Japan Housing Finance Agency (JHF) focuses on the securitization support business to support provision of fixed-rate housing loans by private financial institutions, but also provides a housing loan insurance service to promote smooth provision of private housing loans and a loan origination service in areas that are important from the policy perspective, yet difficult for the private sector to handle.
JHF makes efforts to enhance living standards and fulfills its corporate social responsibility (CSR) by smoothly and effectively supplying housing loans necessary for construction of houses to support people’s lives.

JHF hosted the Green Housing Finance Conference and the Annual Meeting of the Asian Secondary Mortgage Market Association (ASMMA) in Tokyo on December 4th, 2023.
The Green Housing Finance Conference commenced with the opening remarks of JHF President Mr. Mouri.
Following the opening remarks, H.E. Mr. Ishibashi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, delivered his welcoming remarks and urged more efforts to promote green housing finance in order to achieve carbon neutrality.
During the conference, professionals from diverse fields presented a wide range of topics, ranging from economic development and sustainable growth in Asia, the energy-efficient mortgage label in Europe, and Japan's comprehensive policies and initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality.
In the second half of that day, JHF chaired the ASMMA Annual Meeting and led the dialogue on the development of the secondary mortgage market in respective attendees' countries (Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, and Uzbekistan).
On the 5th, the attendees of the ASMMA annual meeting joined an on-site tour of Smart City to deepen their knowledge and experience on energy efficiency and conservation.
Through these initiatives, JHF has been striving to promote the spread of green housing finance in Asia.
