The National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation is the Philippine government’s sole secondary mortgage institution.
National Home Mortgage was created by Presidential Decree No. 1267 in 1977 with the primary purpose of developing and providing for a secondary market for home mortgages granted by public and/or private home financing institutions. To fulfill that mandate, National Home Mortgage purchases quality housing loan mortgages and packages them into Asset-Backed Securities that are offered to Investors. National Home Mortgage serves as the link between the government and the capital market to ensure financial liquidity in the housing sector, allowing to increase the affordability of available homes in the market.
